Meet the Director
Gwenn Hope is an actor, writer and director. She is an alumni of UCLA TFT Class of 2022, where she received a BA in Theatre (Emphasis in Acting) and a Minor in Film. Her recent works include an original play titled On Warner Street, which she wrote, directed and produced at The Pacific Resident Theatre, a new original musical titled Heartbreak Hospital featured in the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival, and a Micro Short Film titled Waves of Her. This particular piece sparked a strong passion for filmmaking and her pursuit of writing, directing and producing the Short Film Daydream. She aims to use the film to create interest and find a team of supporters who will assist her in creating a full length independent Feature Film. While acting has always been her main passion, taking moments and stories to the screen with her own vision has become something she cannot stay away from. Although Hope's passions took her to Los Angeles, she finds herself coming back to her hometown in New England often. She always had dreams of returning to her roots and creating her own productions to showcase the beautiful community where Gwenn was inspired to become the creative she is today. Hope believes that in an industry where jobs and roles are sometimes pure chance and luck, you must decide not to wait around to be chosen when you can decide to choose yourself. Everyone has to start somewhere, and this is just the beginning.
“It is a beautiful thing to be an artist”.
